New York Times Magazine Animations

Created for an interactive digital feature in The New York Times Magazine, this series of editorial animations brings a dynamic, responsive layer to the publication's web storytelling.

Collaborating closely with art director Rachel Wiley and iconic illustrator Tamara Shopsin, my role was to translate Shopsin's minimalist, conceptual hand-drawn illustrations into fluid, purposeful motion. I focused on maintaining the integrity of the original line work while utilizing subtle, clever character and graphic animation to enhance the article's narrative flow on the web.
